README Types paragraph: label `snapshot P38, <date>`, full def split, listed/gating dup classes, variant/dead/pad/parse-error counts; "lying call declarations (an empty K&R list or a type narrower …)" (229 = 216 K&R-empty + 13 narrow; old wording "narrower" covered only 13).

+## Gotchas
+- harness: `commit_task.sh` runs `git add -- <path>` on each arg; a NEW gitignored file fails it even after `git add -f`. Pre-stage with `git add -f` and leave those paths off the arg list (the script commits the whole index).
+- harness: timeline.py counts commits per date from `git log`, so the commit that lands story-timeline.md makes the same-day `--check` STALE again (circular). Regenerating after the last commit of the day is the only fix; noted, not changed.
