# G7 -- Duplicates first

Before matching a function, check the duplicate report. A duplicate is matched once and shared through a header and
per-binary symbol addresses. A newly discovered binary is not real until every consumer knows it (the signature set, the
family map, the dedup registry, the shared header, the reports) — asserted by a gate, not remembered.
