decomp: generic-obs (#894)

* refreshed work on generic-obs

* blocked: down to only decompiler issues!

* decomp: finish `generic-obs` skip over the failing functions for now

* `pair` -> `object`s and fix 2/4 of the functions i had skipped

* address feedback
