The previous patch switched some dev functions to move the string to a second
line. Doing this for all similar functions because it makes the driver easier
to read if all similar lines use the same criteria.

checkpatch makes an exception to the 80-colum rule for quotes strings, and
Documentation/CodingStyle recommends not splitting quotes strings across lines
because it breaks the ability to grep for the string. Fixing these.

Biphase decoding in the current img-ir has got a quirk, where multiple
Interrupts are generated when an incomplete IR code is received by the
decoder.
Patch adds a work around for the quirk and enables biphase decoding.

Add toggle bit to struct img_ir_scancode_req so that protocols can
provide it to img_ir_handle_data(), and pass that toggle bit up to
rc_keydown instead of 0.
This is needed for the upcoming rc-5 and rc-6 patches.

The information being requested of hardware decode callbacks through
the img-ir-hw scancode API is mounting up, so combine it into a struct
which can be passed in with a single pointer rather than multiple
pointer arguments. This allows it to be extended more easily without
touching all the hardware decode callbacks.

The lockdep splat addressed in a previous commit revealed that at
least one message in em28xx-input.c was missing a new line:
em28178 #0: Closing input extensionINFO: trying to register non-static key.
Further inspection shows several other messages also miss a new line.
These will be fixed in a subsequent patch.

This patch adds pgd_page definition in order to keep supporting
HAVE_GENERIC_RCU_GUP configuration. In addition, it changes pud_page
expression to align with pmd_page for readability.
An introduction of pgd_page resolves the following build breakage
under 4KB + 4Level memory management combo.

On arm64 the TTBR0_EL1 register is set to either the reserved TTBR0
page tables on boot or to the active_mm mappings belonging to user space
processes, it must never be set to swapper_pg_dir page tables mappings.
When a CPU is booted its active_mm is set to init_mm even though its
TTBR0_EL1 points at the reserved TTBR0 page mappings. This implies
that when __cpu_suspend is triggered the active_mm can point at
init_mm even if the current TTBR0_EL1 register contains the reserved
TTBR0_EL1 mappings.
Therefore, the mm save and restore executed in __cpu_suspend might
turn out to be erroneous in that, if the current->active_mm corresponds
to init_mm, on resume from low power it ends up restoring in the
TTBR0_EL1 the init_mm mappings that are global and can cause speculation
of TLB entries which end up being propagated to user space.
This patch fixes the issue by checking the active_mm pointer before
restoring the TTBR0 mappings. If the current active_mm == &init_mm,
the code sets the TTBR0_EL1 to the reserved TTBR0 mapping instead of
switching back to the active_mm, which is the expected behaviour
corresponding to the TTBR0_EL1 settings when __cpu_suspend was entered.

SubmittingPatches was written in the "keep sending to Linus until something
shows up in a release" era. Given that we don't do things that way anymore
and the system is far less lossy, update this information and add some
hints on responding to reviewer comments.

Much of the information in SubmittingPatches shows its pre-git history.
Clean that up a bit and rephrase things with the assumption that developers
will be using git. Also rewrite the "pull requests" section and include
information on using signed tags.

Assoc peer command contain information about NSS.
When we will get IEEE80211_RC_NSS_CHANGED we should
also send (re) assoc peer command to be sure firmware
will know about it and RC will work correctly.

Temperature sensor generates electrical analog voltage from temperature
of each chain. The analog voltage is converted to digital value through
ADC. For reading temperature values fom user space, hw monitoring device
is used.
Whenever the user requests for current temperature, the driver sends WMI
command and wait for response. For reading temperature,

corresponding WMI temperature event handler. The pdev_get_temperature
command is currently supported in 10.2 firmware alone.

Thermal cooling device support is added to control the temperature
by throttling the data transmission for the given duration. Throttling
is done using hw MAC quiet time setting. Period, duration and offset
from TBTT can be set up to quiet the MAC transmits for the required duty
cycle (% of quiet duration). The thermal device allows user to configure
duty cycle.
The quiet params are derived as follows.
period = max(25TU, beacon interval / number of bss)
duration = period * duty cycle / 100
Quiet mode can be disabled by setting the duty cycle to 0. The cooling
device can be found under /sys/class/thermal/cooling_deviceX/.
Corresponding soft link to this device can be found under phy folder.
/sys/class/ieee80211/phy*/device/cooling_device.
To set duty cycle as 40%,
echo 40 >/sys/class/ieee80211/phy*/device/cooling_device/cur_state

10.2.4 firmware uses bitmask in wmi_resource_config to configure
10.2 firmware features like airtime fairness and rx batch mode instead
of maintaining separete bool entry. This allows new features that can be
configure during init time without breaking backward compatibility.

To make it easier to manage firmware differences, we should not use
ATH10K_FW_FEATURE_WMI_10X outside ath10k_core_init_firmware_features(). To
achieve that create new field ar->max_num_vdevs and set it based on wmi op
version.

The pll_flags quirk just returned the extra PLL flags the sensor required,
but the init quirk is far more versatile. It can be used to perform any
extra initialisation needed by the sensor, including allocating memory for
sensor specific struct and creating sensor specific new controls.

The default values and limits for certain controls need the knowledge of
available media bus codes or link frequencies. Create such controls later
on, so that most of the initialisation of the sensor has already been done
when the init quirk is called.
