5aeee3424f ALSA: usb-audio: Refactor ignore_ctl_error checks
Introduce an internal helper macro for avoiding many open codes.

The only slight behavior change is in a couple of get ballcks where
the value is reset at error no matter whether ignore_ctl_error is set
or not. Actually this is even safer than before.

01cb156edb ALSA: usb-audio: Use snd_usb_ctl_msg() for Native Instruments quirk
snd_nativeinstruments_control_get() uses a stack as a buffer for
usb_control_msg(), but it's basically not allowed. Replace the call
with a safer helper, snd_usb_ctl_msg(), instead.

2ed127697e PM / Domains: Power on the PM domain right after attach completes
Vast amount of platform drivers which enables runtime PM, don't invoke
a pm_runtime_get_sync() while probing their devices.

Instead, once they have turned on their PM resourses during ->probe()
and are ready to handle I/O, these invokes pm_runtime_set_active() to
synchronize its state towards the runtime PM core.

From the runtime PM point of view this behavior is perfectly acceptable,
but we encounter probe failures if their corresponding devices resides
in the generic PM domain. The issues are observed for those devices,
which requires its PM domain to stay powered during ->probe() since
that's not being controlled.

While using the generic OF-based PM domain look-up, a device's PM
domain will be attached during the probe sequence. For this path, let's
fix the probe failures, by simply power on the PM domain right after
when it's been attached to the device.

The generic PM domain stays powered until all of its devices becomes
runtime PM enabled and runtime PM suspended.

The old SOCs which makes use of the generic PM domain but don't use the
generic OF-based PM domain look-up, will not be affected from this
change.

e639cd5bfc ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare to move GPMC to drivers by platform data header
We still need to support platform data for omap3 until it's booting
in device tree only mode. So let's add platform_data/omap-gpmc.h for
that, and a minimal linux/omap-gpmc.h for the save and restore used
by the PM code.

Let's also keep a minimal mach-omap2/gpmc.h still around to avoid
churn on the board-*.c files. Once omap3 boots in device tree only
mode, we can drop mach-omap2/gpmc.h and we can make the data
structures in platform_data/omap-gpmc.h private to the GPMC driver.

Note that we can now also remove gpmc-nand.h and gpmc-onenand.h.

b2ba27a5c5 usb: gadget: at91_udc: move prepare clk into process context
Commit 7628083227 (usb: gadget: at91_udc:

Sparse warning:
drivers/scsi/ufs/ufshcd.c:5118 ufshcd_system_suspend()
error: we previously assumed 'hba' could be null (see line 5089)

To fix it, we return 0 in case HBA is not initialized or is
not powered.

a017784f1b kprobes/ftrace: Recover original IP if pre_handler doesn't change it
Recover original IP register if the pre_handler doesn't change it.
Since current kprobes doesn't expect that another ftrace handler
may change regs->ip, it sets kprobe.addr + MCOUNT_INSN_SIZE to
regs->ip and returns to ftrace.
This seems wrong behavior since kprobes can recover regs->ip
and safely pass it to another handler.

This adds code which recovers original regs->ip passed from
ftrace right before returning to ftrace, so that another ftrace
user can change regs->ip.
