49f8d8c043 powerpc/numa: use cached value of update->cpu in update_cpu_topology
There isn't any need to keep referring to update->cpu, as we've already

4e44923847 ASoC: cs42l51: make driver user-selectable
Since we are removing the Armada 370 DB audio machine driver to use
the 'simple-card' Device Tree binding, we can no longer select the
CS42L51 codec driver using a Kconfig 'select', and we instead need it
to be user-selectable. Therefore, this commit adds a prompt to make

e9600bc166 ASoC: Intel: Make ADSP memory block allocation more generic
Current block allocation is tied to block type and requestor type. Make the
allocation more generic by removing the struct module parameter and adding
a generic block allocator structure. Also pass in the list that the blocks
have to be added too in order to remove dependence on block requestor type.

ASoC: Intel: update scratch allocator to use generic block allocator

Update the scratch allocator to use the generic block allocator and calculate
total scratch buffer size.

ASoC: Intel: Add call to calculate offsets internally within the DSP.

A call to calculate internal DSP memory addresses used to allocate persistent
and scartch buffers.

ASoC: Intel: Add runtime module support.

Add support for runtime module objects that can be created for every FW
module that is parsed from the FW file. This gives a 1:N mapping between
the FW module from file and the runtime instantiations of that module.

We also need to make sure we remove every module and runtime module when
we unload the FW.

ASoC: Intel: Add DMA firmware loading support

Add support for DMA to load firmware modules to the DSP memory blocks.
Two DMA engines are supported, DesignWare and Intel MID.

ASoC: Intel: Add runtime module lookup API call

5fecf3a1e1 staging: android: logger: Fix log corruption regression
Since commit cd678fce42 ("switch logger to ->write_iter()"), any
attempt to write to the log results in the log data being written over
its own metadata, thus rendering the log unreadable.

The problem was first detected when I ran an Android userspace on the
v3.18-rc1 kernel. However the issue can also be observed with a
non-Android userspace by using echo/cat to write to/from /dev/log_main .

This patch resolves the problem by using a temporary to track the status
of not-yet-committed writes to the log buffer.

0b1db38ca2 Bluetooth: Fix check for direct advertising
These days we allow simultaneous LE scanning and advertising. Checking
for whether advertising is enabled or not is therefore not a reliable
way to determine whether directed advertising was used to trigger the
connection creation. The appropriate place to check (instead of the hdev
context) is the connection role that's stored in the hci_conn. This
patch fixes such a check in le_conn_timeout() which could otherwise lead
to incorrect HCI commands being sent.

cdc-ether: handle promiscuous mode

Since kernel 3.16, my Lenovo USB network adapters (RTL8153) using
cdc-ether are not working anymore in a bridge.

This is due to commit c472ab68ad, which
resets the packet filter when the device is bound.

The default packet filter set by cdc-ether does not include
promiscuous, while the adapter seemed to have promiscuous enabled by
default.

This patch series allows to support promiscuous mode for cdc-ether, by
hooking into set_rx_mode.

Incidentally, maybe this device should be handled by the r8152 driver,
but this patch series is still nice for other adapters.
