Thread the existing resource scope through skill and client configuration reads. Keep failed-close handles owned, wait for admitted reads, and surface unresolved cleanup alongside doctor, uninstall and update results.
Validated focused setup/doctor/update and filesystem boundary checks, temporary-file hygiene, packaged setup/update/uninstall workflows, and static checks. No external provider installation was performed.
* feat(update): update Bun global installations
`rea update` only recognized npm global installations and looked up
releases with `npm view`, so a `bun add --global rea-agents` install on a
machine without npm failed with `spawn npm ENOENT`.
Detect the running package inside Bun's global directory
(BUN_INSTALL_GLOBAL_DIR, $BUN_INSTALL/install/global,
$XDG_CACHE_HOME/.bun/install/global, ~/.bun/install/global), resolve the
latest release with `bun info`, install with
`bun add --global --ignore-scripts`, then verify the installed entry point
and plan integration maintenance exactly as for npm.
Bun commands run inside the owning global directory with
BUN_INSTALL_GLOBAL_DIR pinned, so the caller's current project is never
selected. A global directory without package.json is not treated as an
owned installation: Bun then installs into the nearest ancestor project.
npm installations keep their existing commands and messages.
* fix(update): gate Bun self-updates on supported CLI versions

* fix(update): accept npm 12 release metadata
(cherry picked from commit aa400d18c9)
* fix(update): classify npm release metadata without a spawn mock
Keep the npm 11 string and npm 12 one-element array accepted by the
cherry-picked lookup, and separate invalid metadata from a failed
registry command.

* feat(setup)!: expand agent integrations and simplify onboarding
Add native configuration formats for OpenCode, Antigravity, GitHub Copilot
CLI, VS Code, and Devin. Preserve JSONC comments and unrelated settings
while making setup and uninstall ownership-aware and idempotent.
Select agent targets before planning, separate discovery from intent, and
keep agent-only setup independent of optional provider prerequisites.
Cover configuration boundaries and interactive behavior in packaged checks.
BREAKING CHANGE: unscoped setup refreshes only existing REA-owned
registrations. Use --all-detected to configure every detected client.
Setup JSON contains a compact doctor summary; use rea doctor for full
diagnostics. Cancellation and successful dry runs now exit successfully.
* feat(cli)!: replace upgrade with verified updates
Resolve an exact release through npm's configured registry, update only the
identified installation, and verify its new executable before reporting success.
Return a read-only maintenance plan for existing enabled REA integrations.
BREAKING CHANGE: replace rea upgrade with rea update; no alias is retained.
Successful update JSON uses status "updated", reports the verified installed
version, and returns an unapplied maintenance plan instead of opening setup.
