Reconcile Mach-O UUID observations without hiding malformed or conflicting sources. Require source-map identity digests to be supported by consistent observations. Keep truncated Android manifests as partial raw evidence, validate WABT section framing, and reject missing JEB inventories or error-marked success replies.
Consolidate native UUID parsing and simplify capacity and malformed-input fixtures. Focused source and public workflow checks pass, including native arm64e inspection and real WABT framing probes; a successful real JEB GUI project opening remains unverified.
* feat(go): inspect embedded binary build metadata
* fix(go): preserve byte metadata and validate container mappings
* fix(go): support moduleless legacy build metadata
Recognize optional module string headers in declared zero-filled memory while rejecting ambiguous and unmapped pointers. Preserve the original module-pointer field as the zero-byte source anchor.
Classify initial symlink-loop and overlong-path failures as invalid input, with CLI and MCP regressions.
* fix(go): reject undersized PE optional headers
* fix(native): stabilize ELF memory checks and clean up exec wrappers
Use existing parent/group/run-token ownership for caller-selected Python launchers, which can exec through a shell or prlimit. Add cancellation regressions for the valid wrapper and wrong-parent/token cases.
Replace the timing-dependent 30,000-section memory workload with a valid 32 MiB padded ELF under a 64 MiB address-space limit. Check the same image successfully through CLI and MCP before requiring a typed memory failure, preserving the production timeout and all error assertions.
Validation: npm run check and check:fast passed; 61 focused tests passed including Go CLI/MCP and session snapshots. Real decoder probes with pinned packages passed on Python 3.12.3 and 3.12.14. The full local ELF verifier is blocked by this container's procps/process-ownership boundary; the exact pushed head requires GitHub's real-binary-layout lane.
* test: repair Electron fixtures and stabilize catalog startup checks
Declare Electron imports in option, preload override, and path-resolution fixtures after upstream began requiring proven API provenance. Retain all option and preload assertions and adjust exact source ranges for the added import line.
Use the existing bounded acceptance timeout for the cold catalog lifecycle test instead of a separate 15-second ceiling. This retains the coverage allowance and all catalog, error, and cleanup assertions without retries.
Validation: npm run check, final check:fast, formatting and diff checks passed. Source path regression and Go boundary/MCP/service checks passed. All 20 Go CLI cases and both supported-host runtime cases passed on rerun; two macOS-only cases skipped on Linux. A prior contended local run timed out once in a Go CLI diagnostic; that case passed on rerun. Electron process-boundary verification is blocked locally by procps namespace inspection and requires fresh CI.
* test(mcp): isolate nested schema references between tool contracts
Clear Ajv's non-meta schema registry after each root, including compilation failures. Disabling root registration alone leaves nested IDs available to later tools and can let a dangling reference pass the catalog gate.
Add regressions for leakage after successful and failed compilation while retaining shared meta-schema validators. The regression failed before the fix; all 11 schema cases and full npm run check pass. Reviewed independently.
* test(ci): align Go effects and source-map verification contracts
Audit the Go inspector wording as static metadata inspection. Assert retained source declaration indexes in BOM reconstruction and the compiler-derived nested-map oracle. Keep a 45,000-map admission control below the 32 MiB output budget and the 50,000-map overflow case above it with the expanded representation.
Validation: reproduced all four failing assertions, then passed 120 focused tests and the final admission suite. npm run check and real Chrome 154 / esbuild 0.25.10 source-map verification passed, including all four nested-map scenarios and verified process lineage.

Keep FAT container format distinct from selected slice architecture through target admission, Evidence, snapshots, and CLI/MCP lifecycle results. Preserve native, Hopper, Ghidra, extraction, and dylib routing for the Mach-O family.
Reject selected FAT ranges overlapping their table or too short for a Mach-O header. Replace empty-slice fixtures with in-bounds executable headers and cover thin, universal, single-slice, FAT64, and swapped containers.
Validation: static and architecture checks, generated docs, targeted producer and public MCP tests. Provider routing uses controlled fixtures; no live Hopper, IDA, JADX, or Ghidra analysis was performed for this change.
Parse otool field occurrences once and reject valueless required fields while retaining empty dylib options. Preserve compiler exit outcomes and stderr through capture errors and nested Ghidra causes, with explicit UTF-8 truncation after redaction.
Strengthen provider failure assertions and document the manual Ghidra 12.1.4 macOS x64 decompiler build using upstream instructions.
Validation: focused producer tests, nine fake-compiler preparation and cancellation tests, temporary-directory hygiene, static and documentation checks. No real Swift or Ghidra compilation was run locally.
* fix(native): reject required otool fields truncated before their value
#1967 let requireUniqueField count a label at end of line so an empty
dylib-use options row is present. That applied to every required field,
so truncated output such as a bare vmaddr, vmsize, uuid or entryoff line
passed the presence check while parseField dropped it, and the value
silently became null.
Let parseField decide which labeled line carries a value: the single
matching line must parse as that field. The empty options row remains
the only valueless field parseField admits.

* fix(native): admit the empty segname of Mach-O object files
MH_OBJECT files put their sections in one segment whose name is empty,
and otool -l prints it as a bare segname label. Requiring a value for
every scalar field rejected valid object-file output as unreadable.
Let parseField admit an empty segname like the empty dylib-use options
row, and keep projecting an empty or absent segment name as "unknown",
as main did.

* fix(native): admit all-NUL Mach-O section names
An all-NUL section_64.sectname prints as a bare sectname label, like an
empty segname. Admit it in parseField and keep projecting the empty name
as "unknown", as main did.

* fix(native): apply printed lipo capability bits to CPU subtypes
lipo -detailed_info prints a slice's capability byte separately from its
symbolic subtype: CPU_SUBTYPE_LIB64 for x86_64 and ppc64, and other bits
as hex. Only the arm64e pointer-auth form was applied, so a LIB64 x86_64
slice normalized to subtype 3 while its FAT entry carries 0x80000003,
and slice validation rejected the universal binary as an integrity
mismatch. Fold the printed capability byte into the subtype code.
* fix(native): leave lipo CPU subtypes unknown without capability bits
The lipo shipped with macOS 26 prints an empty capabilities line for
x86_64 slices whose FAT capability byte is 0x80 as well as 0x00, so a
symbolic subtype alone does not identify the slice's CPU subtype. The
parser assumed no capability bits and still reported subtype 3 for
LIB64 slices, which made universal applications such as Sublime Text
fail slice validation. Report the subtype code as unknown when lipo
prints no capability byte, as arm64e already does; slice validation
then relies on the remaining physical facts.
* test(native): cover printed and blank lipo capability bits
Fold CPU_SUBTYPE_LIB64 and hex capability bytes into x86_64 subtype
codes, and keep the code unknown for the blank capabilities line that
macOS 26 lipo prints.
* test(native): match a LIB64 x86_64 slice with blank lipo capabilities
Read a universal image whose x86_64 FAT entry carries 0x80000003 while
lipo reports CPU_SUBTYPE_X86_ALL with a blank capabilities line, as
macOS 26 lipo does, and expect both slices instead of an integrity
failure.
* fix(native): compare named lipo subtype bits without capability bytes
A blank capabilities line leaves the subtype code unknown, and slice
matching then skipped the subtype entirely. A FAT entry whose named
subtype differs, such as CPU_SUBTYPE_ARM64_V8 recorded by lipo as
CPU_SUBTYPE_ARM64_ALL, was accepted. Keep comparing the complete
subtype when lipo printed its capability byte, and otherwise compare
the subtype bits its record names.
* test(native): share LIB64 slice reader setup
Read the LIB64 universal fixture through one helper that takes the
x86_64 subtype lipo reports, so further cases reuse the same image and
lipo record. The existing expectation is unchanged.
* test(native): reject a blank-capability lipo subtype naming other bits
With the capabilities line blank, a lipo record naming
CPU_SUBTYPE_X86_64_H for the x86_64 LIB64 slice still disagrees with
the FAT entry's subtype bits and fails slice validation.
Expose the selected Mach-O slice and its container offset, derive that identity once, and map entrypoint and nonempty segment Evidence to container coordinates. Reject relocation sections whose byte length is not divisible by the entry size instead of silently accepting a floored count.
Validation: native parser and selected-architecture boundaries, actual public CLI and stdio MCP on a compiled universal Mach-O, and a pyelftools 0.33 malformed-table probe. Full Linux pwntools bridge verification was unavailable on this host.

* fix(wasm): preserve debug module names in WABT output
* fix(native): accept otool dylib-use options
Preserve modern dylib options while requiring one encoding metadata row and retaining duplicate and multiline-output checks. Share field parsing between preservation and validation.
Verify delayed dylibs through real macOS CLI/MCP workflows and refresh the high-address golden with the provider's -h -l capture. Validated 85 focused native tests, npm run check, and verify:macos-bundle on macOS arm64.

Validate Mach command counts, byte totals, scalar uniqueness, section counts, and build-tool counts before claiming exhaustive evidence. Preserve raw output in typed parsing failures and distinguish dylib commands from the dynamic loader. Correct inconsistent handcrafted fixtures and label their provenance.
Validation: 38 native tests, combined checks, and temporary-directory hygiene. Multiline dylib-name ambiguity was reproduced with the host Apple otool; regression workflows use captured output and injected command runners.
* fix: order remaining outputs independently of host locale
String.prototype.localeCompare without a pinned collation follows the
host's ICU default locale, so the same input could be ordered differently
on different machines. 614fb768 moved canonical domain projections to
compareUnicodeCodePoints; provider, application, catalog, and setup
orderings still used locale collation.
Order every remaining source site by Unicode code point, including Mach-O
symbols, firmware extraction paths, ASAR entries (previously pinned to
"en" collation), evidence ID sets, browser and Electron target, script,
and resource inventories, reconstruction obligations, capability and
provider listings, and setup environment details.
The current tool and prompt catalog names order identically under both
comparators, so the catalog identity digest is unchanged.
* fix(artifacts): order ASAR entries by their portable path
@electron/asar lists host-spelled paths, so code-point order over the raw
spelling still differed by host: "a\b" sorts after "a0" on Windows while
"a/b" sorts before it on POSIX. Pair each listing with its portable
archive path once, order by that path, and keep the host spelling for
@electron/asar calls and adapter keys.
inspect-pe-resources rejected stock Windows resource images because their
tables exceed the 4096-entry default. Windows 11 25H2 SystemResources
measures imageres.dll.mun at 6476 examined entries, shell32.dll.mun at 5903
and wmploc.DLL.mun at 5440, so the default budget now admits each of them
with headroom while the maximum stays 65536. The independent 8 MiB metadata
budget still bounds allocation, and exceeding any budget still fails without
partial results.
The stable filesystem boundary test now emits a 6476-entry table through a
larger fixture section and asserts that the default budgets report complete
coverage, covering stock-image scale without a real Windows file.
Retain failed native command owners through both xcrun resolution and command capture. Retry all owned cleanup failures before new commands and after consumers join their launched work at close; preserve partial output and every resource diagnostic.

* fix(build): emit no runtime imports for type-only bindings
Under verbatimModuleSyntax, an import whose specifiers all carry inline
`type` modifiers compiles to `import {} from "..."`, a side-effect import
that still resolves and evaluates the module. 78 compiled modules carried
one, including `import {} from "playwright-core"` in the browser scenario
session, which loaded Playwright's module graph at MCP startup.
Use top-level `import type` for these bindings and enable oxlint's
typescript/no-import-type-side-effects rule so the pattern cannot return.

* perf(mcp): load Playwright when a scenario launches, not at startup
The browser scenario and Electron active providers are constructed before
the stdio server serves, and both bound Playwright's launchers at module
load. Resolve `chromium` and `_electron` from playwright-core when a
capture opens instead, as the web module resolver already does.
MCP startup now resolves 1,312 modules (4,902 resolutions) instead of
1,598 (6,076) before reading the first request, and no longer loads
playwright-core. Provider construction, the tool catalog, and capability
inventory are unchanged.
A boundary test spawns the stdio server, initializes, lists tools, and
asserts playwright-core and isomorphic-git were not resolved; the CLI
probe now exercises the real launch path to prove detection.

Section headers distinguish the declared virtual extent from the on-disk raw extent, which may include alignment padding. Resource RVA ownership and overlap use VirtualSize, falling back to SizeOfRawData when VirtualSize is zero, and payload reads still require file-backed bytes.
The NativeAOT snapshot reader applies the same range rule to RVA reads, metadata scans, executable targets, and derived overlay bounds. Page-rounded loader mappings may expose tail bytes, but those bytes lie outside the declared section range used by these parsers.
The PE resource reader treated each section as covering
`max(VirtualSize, SizeOfRawData)` bytes, the mapping #1596 removed from
managed RVA reads. A resource payload in the raw alignment padding past
VirtualSize was reported with a hash of bytes the image loader never maps.
A later section whose virtual range starts inside that padding was refused
as an overlapping mapping.
Containment and overlap now use the loader's virtual extent: VirtualSize,
or SizeOfRawData when VirtualSize is zero. Ranges must still be file-backed.

* fix: bind identity and coverage to the producing rule
Logical paths, container families, examined bytes, path-segment conventions, destination collisions, file-id leases, Mach-O CPU selection, and firmware cleanup now follow the observation that owns each rule.
* fix: fail unmatched Mach-O slices and keep firmware roots independent
A fat target whose architecture lipo did not list now stops before slice tools run. Chained fixups still count unread LC_DYLD_INFO rebase bytes, and a firmware cleanup failure no longer blocks the next workspace.
* test: cover path identity and runtime families at the projection boundary
NFC joins and segment conventions are now asserted by the path resolver, the Apple projection, and a real APK inventory instead of helper unit tests.
* test: expect unread dyld rebase bytes in the Apple dispatch fixture
The legacy LC_DYLD_INFO fixture keeps a rebase range this reader does not decode, so the public CLI and MCP check now requires that partial coverage beside the bind opcodes.

inspect_macho, inspect_signature, inspect_plist, list_architectures and
demangle_swift already return their command provenance inside the
normalized result. The provider also copied the same array into
raw_result, so every response carried it twice. raw_result now stays
null, as docs/mcp-contracts.md describes for results without a distinct
provider representation.

list_architectures ran lipo on every admitted target. For a PE DLL, ELF
binary or plist, lipo's refusal surfaced as execution_failure with
"Retry once; if it continues, run rea doctor", which neither can fix.
Refuse non-Mach-O targets as capability_unavailable before running
lipo, as inspect_macho already does.

BREAKING CHANGE: Objective-C attribute tokens now contain only name and value. Properties report nullable atomicity and readonly facts; class flags, ivar counts, and method requirement flags are nullable when unobserved.
Remove forwarding wrappers and shadow aliases, migrate callers and verification scripts to their owners, and share one exhaustive semantic resource-bound projection.
Deliver complete Evidence directly through MCP with required nullable analysis profiles and immutable per-server delivery settings. Bind selected environments at construction and require typed cleanup outcomes with retained retry ownership.
Remove test-only routing, duplicate session and snapshot metadata, producer-field repairs, and ambiguous provider arguments. Separate artifact byte identity from occurrence classification and retain typed source-map and partial native facts across CLI, MCP, and verifier consumers.
BREAKING CHANGE: obsolete Evidence envelopes, session aliases, incomplete snapshots, and missing normalized producer facts are no longer accepted.
rea inspect-plist takes the target as its positional path and selects a
plist with --relative-path, so "Pass path" pointed CLI callers at the
wrong argument. Name the MCP path input and the CLI flag.

inspect_plist on a target without a readable default Contents/Info.plist
(for example a bare Mach-O) reported the generic "This analysis is
unavailable for the current target. Choose another analysis or target."
as message and remediation. The specific reason, including "Pass path to
inspect another plist", appeared only in details.reason, although
selecting another plist in the same target is the available workflow.
Pass that reason as the refusal's user message.

Host and tool-configuration refusals from the pwntools, EVMole, firmware,
mitmproxy, Wakaru, LLDB and xcrun adapters carried no userMessage, so CLI
and MCP callers saw the generic "This analysis is unavailable for the
current target. Choose another analysis or target." as both message and
remediation. Choosing another target cannot satisfy a Linux-only profile
or an unset REA_*_COMMAND. The actual requirement appeared only in
details.reason.
Pass each refusal's reason as its userMessage, as the adapters' other
configuration refusals (EVMole limits, JADX, pwndbg) already do.

Cancelling the macOS process-ownership helper build left swiftc object files
in TMPDIR. Node's execFile sends SIGTERM on abort and rejects before the
child exits, and swift-driver runs each frontend job in its own process
group: on SIGTERM the driver exits while a job keeps writing, so REA removed
its root while objects were still being written outside and inside it.
Add an opt-in `stopSignal` to execFileOutput that stops the process with the
caller's signal on abort or timeout and settles only after it exits. Swift
helper builds stop swiftc with SIGINT, on which swift-driver stops its jobs
and deletes their objects, and point TMPDIR inside the root cleanup removes.

* feat(native): inspect recorded crashes through pwntools and pwndbg

* fix(native): validate recorded core ABI and evidence scalars
* fix(native): require complete recorded note interpretations
* fix(native): bind physical core notes to original headers
Resolve conflicts against main:
- package.json: ship both the LLDB tracer bridge and main's process run
token reader sources.
- README.md: take main's simplified English README, which no longer has
the tool-family table.
- README_ja.md: take main's reworded table and count
observe_native_calls in the macOS native row (7 -> 8).
- Skill: the references gain the observe_native_calls paragraph, so the
version moves to 29 (main already uses 28).
- Regenerate the product catalog, conformance manifest, skill digest and
package metadata (135 tools). The MCP tool catalog is now built rather
than committed (#997), so it is removed here.
