# G26 -- Exonerate the instrument before blaming the subject

|
Truncation, fences, rate limits, tool faults and environment gaps are ruled out before a failure is attributed to a draft, a
|
|
model or the compiler. A verdict produced in an isolated environment (a worktree, a sandbox) describes the environment
|
|
until that environment is proven complete for the class of work it judged.
