# G56 -- Provenance → archive → link → compiler

Before any wall verdict on a function in a mixed binary, ask whose code it is: score every vendor signature set the project
|
|
holds against the band; the version that places the most objects byte-exact is the linked one; fetch the archive and link
|
|
it. "No single base" for a vendor object is a partition problem solved along the producer's own structure in the shared
|
|
link-prepare path, not a wall.
