# G8 -- Compiler honesty

|
|
The compiler, assembler and flags are pinned by fingerprint evidence from the binary itself and recorded with that evidence.
|
|
The assembler's version or compatibility flag is always passed explicitly — a tool's default is not "latest". Never import
|
|
another project's toolchain settings without evidence; expect per-module variation (mixed optimisation levels, mixed
|
|
compilers within one image). Each binary's toolchain provenance is recorded separately.
