The raid6 recovery code should immediately drop back to the optimized
synchronous path when a p+q dma resource is not available. Otherwise we
run the non-optimized/multi-pass async code in sync mode.

In Ubuntu, security_path_*() hooks are exported to Unionfs. Thus, prepare for

476 requires an isync after loading MMU and debug related SPR's. Some of
these are in performance-critical paths and may need to be optimized, but

Now that we can specify feature of a particular controller, we can
avoid multiple copies of same code by defining the CDCLKCON bit
feature in controller specific code and detecting that flag in the
code common to all controllers.

In order to make s3c-i2s-v2.c manage controllers with minor
quirks and variation in features, we define a per-block flag
that indicates the availability/lack of a particular feature
to the s3c-i2s-v2.c
While adding support for new SoCs' I2S, check for the blocks
of older SoCs that have similar feature and set the flag for
that feature.

doing exactly the same thing, we can define one generic s3c_i2sv2_get_clock
and discard other two copies. Also, switch the users to make calls to the

Fix a couple of inefficiencies and redundancies related to
have_tracepoints() and its use when checking whether to write
TRACE_INFO.
First, there's no need to use get_tracepoints_path() in
have_tracepoints() - we really just want the part that checks whether
any attributes correspondo to tracepoints.
Second, we really don't care about raw_samples per se - tracepoints
are always raw_samples. In any case, the have_tracepoints() check
should be sufficient to decide whether or not to write TRACE_INFO.

The IMS field of s3c2412/13 is essentially the same as that of s3c64xx.
That is, the IISMOD[11] bit decides Master/Slave mode and IISMOD[10] bit
selects source clock for signal generation.
For that reason, remove improper defines for IISMOD[11:10] field mask
and define two 1bit fields that can be set independent of each other.
As a consequence, corresponding fields for PLAT_S3C64XX too get to use
these new defines.

call_sbin_request_key() creates a keyring and then attempts to insert a link to
the authorisation key into that keyring, but does so without holding a write
lock on the keyring semaphore.
It will normally get away with this because it hasn't told anyone that the
keyring exists yet. The new keyring, however, has had its serial number
published, which means it can be accessed directly by that handle.
This was found by a previous patch that adds RCU lockdep checks to the code
that reads the keyring payload pointer, which includes a check that the keyring
semaphore is actually locked.
Without this patch, the following command:
keyctl request2 user b a @s
will provoke the following lockdep warning is displayed in dmesg:

This patch adds the base support for the 476 processor. The code was
primarily written by Ben Herrenschmidt and Torez Smith, but I've been
maintaining it for a while.
The goal is to have a single binary that will run on 44x and 47x, but
we still have some details to work out. The biggest is that the L1 cache
line size differs on the two platforms, but it's currently a compile-time
option.

It's already inserted on other platforms and xmon recognizes it and

This patch contains various tweaks to how log flushes and active item writeback
work. gfs2_logd is now managed by a waitqueue, and gfs2_log_reseve now waits
for gfs2_logd to do the log flushing. Multiple functions were rewritten to
remove the need to call gfs2_log_lock(). Instead of using one test to see if
gfs2_logd had work to do, there are now seperate tests to check if there
are two many buffers in the incore log or if there are two many items on the
active items list.
This patch is a port of a patch Steve Whitehouse wrote about a year ago, with
some minor changes. Since gfs2_ail1_start always submits all the active items,
it no longer needs to keep track of the first ai submitted, so this has been
removed. In gfs2_log_reserve(), the order of the calls to
prepare_to_wait_exclusive() and wake_up() when firing off the logd thread has
been switched. If it called wake_up first there was a small window for a race,
where logd could run and return before gfs2_log_reserve was ready to get woken
up. If gfs2_logd ran, but did not free up enough blocks, gfs2_log_reserve()
would be left waiting for gfs2_logd to eventualy run because it timed out.
Finally, gt_logd_secs, which controls how long to wait before gfs2_logd times
out, and flushes the log, can now be set on mount with ar_commit.

With following patch I can reach maximum rate of my pktgen+udpsink
simulator :
- 'old' machine : dual quad core E5450 @3.00GHz
- 64 UDP rx flows (only differ by destination port)
- RPS enabled, NIC interrupts serviced on cpu0
- rps dispatched on 7 other cores. (~130.000 IPI per second)
- SLAB allocator (faster than SLUB in this workload)
- tg3 NIC
- 1.080.000 pps without a single drop at NIC level.
Idea is to add two prefetchw() calls in __alloc_skb(), one to prefetch
first sk_buff cache line, the second to prefetch the shinfo part.
Also using one memset() to initialize all skb_shared_info fields instead
of one by one to reduce number of instructions, using long word moves.
All skb_shared_info fields before 'dataref' are cleared in
__alloc_skb().

We should disable irqs when we take the tu->qlock because it is used in
the irq handler. The only place that doesn't is
snd_timer_user_ccallback(). Most of the time snd_timer_user_ccallback()
is called with interrupts disabled but the the first ti->ccallback()
call in snd_timer_notify1() has interrupts enabled.
This was caught by lockdep which generates the following message:

key_gc_keyring() needs to either hold the RCU read lock or hold the keyring
semaphore if it's going to scan the keyring's list. Given that it only needs
to read the key list, and it's doing so under a spinlock, the RCU read lock is
the thing to use.
Furthermore, the RCU check added in e7b0a61b79 is
incorrect as holding the spinlock on key_serial_lock is not grounds for
assuming a keyring's pointer list can be read safely. Instead, a simple
rcu_dereference() inside of the previously mentioned RCU read lock is what we
want.

The ACPI dependency moved to the TPM, where it belongs. Although
IMA per-se does not require access to the bios measurement log,
verifying the IMA boot aggregate does, which requires ACPI.

This patch pushes the ACPI dependency into the device driver code
itself. Now, even without ACPI/PNP enabled, the device can be registered
using the TIS specified memory space. This will however result in the
lack of access to the bios event log, being the only implication of such
ACPI removal.
